The MD degree in India is a postgraduate medical degree awarded to individuals who have completed their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Admission Process:
Counseling and Seat Allotment: After the entrance exam results are announced, candidates are often required to participate in counseling sessions. During counseling, candidates choose their preferred specialization and institution based on their merit ranks and availability of seats.
Document Verification: Candidates need to present original documents for verification during the counseling process. These documents include educational certificates, internship completion certificates, registration certificates, and identification proof.
Admission Confirmation: Once a candidate is allotted a seat in the desired MD program, they need to pay the required admission fees and complete the necessary formalities to secure their admission.
Duration of MD Program: The duration of MD programs in India generally ranges from 3 years to 6 years, depending on the specialization. Some programs might require candidates to complete a thesis or research project during their MD tenure.
Curriculum and Training: MD programs consist of both theoretical and practical training in the chosen specialization.
Students are trained to become experts in their field through a combination of classroom sessions, clinical rotations, seminars, and research.
Examinations: MD students need to clear periodic internal assessments and final examinations to successfully complete their program.

NEET PG Counselling for MD Admission 2023 will be conducted in 3 rounds.

Mop-up round (Final Round)
Candidates will be called for counselling as per their ranks (All India Rank, All India 50 % Quota Category Rank, All India 50 % Quota Rank and State Quota Rank).
Candidates need to fill in their choice of courses and colleges in the counseling process. Admission of candidates in the MD Course will depend on their rank secured in the NEET PG entrance exam, filled preferences, and lastly, the availability of seats.

- NEET PG 2023 Admit Card and Rank Card
- 10th class mark sheet and passing certificate
- 12th class mark sheet and passing certificate
- Graduation certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Transfer Certificate
- Counselling call letter
- Recent passport size photographs
- The counselling process will be organized by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) and DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) in the online mode.
- Counselling will be conducted by them for giving admission to 50% All India Quota Seats. The State Government will take care of the seat allotment for the rest of 50% seats.
